Easy Eggs Benedict Recipe: Free Online Cooking Lessons

Eggs Benedict is a popular brunch and breakfast dish consisting of two halves of an English muffin topped with Canadian bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Variations on this basic recipe include the popular Eggs Florentine, which substitutes the bacon or ham with spinach, and southern recipes which call for biscuits, traditional American-style bacon, and eggs sunny-side-up covered with cream gravy.

In this series of free video cooking lessons you ll get step-by-step instructions from an expert chef on how to make Eggs Benedict. Chef Sean Roe demonstrates the cooking process, starting with tips on sanitation and safety when working with raw egg. Sean gives you a list of ingredients you ll need to prepare the recipe, including English muffins, Canadian bacon, and butter to make the hollandaise sauce. He then shows you how to clarify butter, poach the eggs, and demonstrates two methods for making the hollandaise sauce, both with and without using a blender. Finally Sean offers presentation tips that will make your eggs benedict an extra special brunch or breakfast treat.
